SoaF

Soaf doesn’t mean anything, and to all those who’re asking him, he answers the same… It doesn’t mean anything but it creates a lot, all without any specific artistic direction.
“Artist”, he’s not, that’s why to him frontiers doesn’t exist, of course he’s from the thirteen district of Paris and proud of it but he opened his mind moving up to Venezuela.

Soaf is a self made image maker, living with his time, he has fun as well with a computer, a piece of wood, a camera or spray cans, to share what’s in his mind.

His 10 years as devlopper and project leader in important parisian webbagencies, helped him to improve his konwledge. The melting-pot of his ideas, the need to let know and to be known made him edit a CD-ROM, a book and a DVD : From Spray to screen I and II.

Today, far from the streetlife and other urban pleasures, he reinvents himself in a new world. After the rain forest, the caribean sea is his new playground.

Soaf ça ne veut rien dire, et à tout ceux qui lui demandent il répond pareil… Ca ne veut rien dire mais ça crée dans tous les sens, sans ligne conductrice diraient certains amateurs de l’artiste à la ligne de conduite. Soaf lui n’en a pas, d’ailleurs « artiste » il ne l’est pas, alors du coup il n’a pas de frontière et bien qu’il soit résolument du 13ème , il a ouvert ses horizons en s’expatriant au Venezuela.

Soaf est un touche à tout dans le domaine de l’image, autodidacte de formation à l’IUT du coin de la rue. Profondément ancré dans son temps il s’amuse aussi bien avec un ordinateur, une bombe de peinture, un appareil photo, un bout de bois ou une disqueuse ! Et des fois avec tous ces instruments et en même temps, pour nous faire partager sa propre vision des choses, un cadrage bien à lui et que ses photos, souvent, mettent en lumière.

Son expérience de dix ans en tant que développeur puis chef de projet multimédia dans de grandes sociétés parisiennes a cimenté son savoir-faire. Le melting-pot de ces idées, de ces envies de faire connaître tout en se faisant connaître a donné lieu à un CD-ROM, un livre et un DVD : From Spray to screen I et II.

Aujourd’hui, loin de la streetlife et autres plaisirs urbains, il se réinvente un monde d’images en terres inconnues. Après la forêt tropicale humide, la mer des caraïbes est dorénavant son terrain de jeu.
